the Honda NSR 150SP.. and the rain..

|) @ |\/| |\|!!!

it rained so freakin’ hard today!

i had to take home the motor bike which has been parked at my grandmother’s house for the past few days.. should have been home early but due to an activity that i didn’t finish right away, my plan of getting home right away was foiled.

had lunch or whatever meal that was close to 4pm.. or later.. couldn’t remember.. after eating, the sky was starting to turn gray.. whoah.. it wasnt a good sign.. headed back to school to let the rain pass.. it did rain hard as expected..

before i got on my way to my grandmother’s, i waited for some buko pie.. yum yum.. it was food, couldn’t resist.. SR, thanks! TDL staff who were there, let’s hope there’s more.. :)

ok, so i got to villa gloria. i saw lightning on the way there; not a good sign again. i quickly got the bike out of the house and went on my way. i was offered dinner but i had to turn it down. im not sure if this was a good or bad choice. anyway, it started to rain again on my way home.. along pandan, that road which was “overlayed” for Php 2.3M (or something like that) quite some time ago, it started to pour. cats and dogs all over the place. i pushed my luck. i sped up to the nearest gas station, about 3 mins away. my jacket was already wet. AT, CR, JC, it was the jacket i bought at P. hehe.

twenty. 20. two-zero. the number of minutes, most likely more, i waited at the gas station for the rain to stop. actually, the rain didn’t stop. it just got weak. it was my chance. i dont know how else my luck could have gotten worse. it started to pour again as i drove away from the gas station. by this time, i could feel the wetness of the jacket and my pants, also from P. it was no turning back. this was the first time i got wet while on a motor bike. i also had to open the “wind shield” of the helmet as it was also very wet and i could barely see through it. really bad. i was going more than 60kph. the rain was hitting my face like small stones. ouch!

damn! nevertheless, i got home. wet. soaking wet.

despite getting wet, im still thankful that i got home safely, still in one piece. the Honda NSR-150SP was really great on the road. grip was good. accelerating was fine. the braking power of the two disc brakes, super.

it awaits another day to be used. another day for its power to be unleashed. hopefully the rainy season ends soon. now, how did i get into motor biking? that’s another story. maybe in a future post.

that’s all for now.
